(Cranston, RI) -- The inaugural season for the Cranston Reds was like a roller coaster ride; a series of up’s and down’s. The season featured stretches of the Reds losing their 1st three games before picking up the teams’ 1st win vs the NY Saints, a stretch of 8 games that saw the Reds get 4 wins but also featured 4 shootout losses but did get the Red to the .500 mark with a record of 5-5-4 on Oct. 24th. The next stretch of 14 games is where the inexperienced Reds learned that a Jr. season is a grind. The Reds record in these games was 3-11-0, which put their record at 8-16-4 going to the Christmas break. On their return from break the Reds lost their 1st two games but responded well the rest of the season and finished strong winning 4 of their last 7 games to finish with a record of 12-21-4. The Reds were in the playoff hunt right up until the last weekend of games but unfortunately fell short in their 1st season.
